Linux distributions for Windows
THIS WEEK NetSpeak looks at a couple of Linux distributions designed to help Windows users install Linux in the same hard disk partition on which the Windows OS is housed.
Though different types of Linux distributions are available on the Net, an ordinary Windows user becomes nervous when it comes to installing Linux on his hard disk. The main hurdles are the hard disk partitioning and similar activities that demand some technical knowledge. Thus, the requirement is a Linux flavour that can be installed on a Windows machine without the need for any partitioning of the hard disk. This means a Linux version that can be installed on the same partition in which Windows resides. We will explore a couple of Linux distributions that address this need.
