Logging web page Backlinks
WEB ADDRESSES (URLs) that point to a web page are collectively called the page's backlinks. This week NetSpeak discusses the significance of recording web page backlinks and the means by which one can implement it.
Backlinks
While accessing a web page, apart from the page's address (URL), the browser also provides the target server with the address of the page that directed the visitor towards it. This web address that points back to the referring web page, called backlink, if stored/examined/processed properly will provide valuable information to the site's owner as well as its visitors.
